DIY peanut eye mask

I couldn't have chosen a better post to write about while still laying in bed. These rainy gloomy days make me the laziest ever, and I'm completely fine with that. I can't stop thinking about summer, not because the days will long and everybody goes outside to play. But really just because summer means I don't have school & I can be lazy to my fullest potential. So that's the story behind my lazy mask, why its a peanut? Well don't face masks look like peanuts already? Let them just be!

#1. Beige felt
#2. Black thread
#3. Mustard thread
#4. Scissors
#5. Elastic
#6. Needle (Not shown)
#7. 30 minutes of your time

Step one: Cut the felt into a peanut shaped eye mask. Very similar to DSMeeBee's bridal eye mask template!

Step two: With a fabric marker or pencil, draw the lines going horizontally and vertically. This will make the sewing so much more do-able which by the way will be done in the orange thread.

Step three: Add some sleeping eyes to your nut! Then cut off all those loose dangly ends.

Step four: Place the elastic around your head to measure the right size. Then cut an Inch or so smaller so that it'll fit you nice and snug. Sew the ends to your nutty mask & done!

Forever Lazy!

A few lovely home links

Moving out is always on my mind & looking at blogs never helps that fever. There are so many things you can do when you have your own space and I think thats what gets me so giddy about it. I wait for the day I'll be able to come home to hand made projects and mixed matched art. For now I will just keep admiring and saving away!

Valentine's day flyer freebie!

Last year I stumbled upon Amanda's free compliment's flyer & absolutely loved the idea. I printed them out and shared them on the streets. I must say my favorite part was sitting down and watching people's reactions to it. Some would look at the sign and walk away, while others returned to rip a note off. I thought It would be sweet to take these flyers to the streets again. However this time I made my own version specifically for Valentines day! I'll be printing these out and posting them around all day tomorrow. If you click below on the bar you can download the free template shown & for those of you that don't fancy what I wrote I also made blank ones that you could fill out yourself.  Just cut up the dashed lines and staple, tape, or hang up!

Cheers!
